Last week a Muslim immigrant shot up a military recruiting station and Reservist base in Chattanooga, TN, killing five active duty military. The now deceased jihadi had gloried in the discomfort of others as he attended public schools and college. He eventually embraced his inner demons and decided his way into Heaven was to murder his neighbors.

With his action over the weekend on ANWR, President Obama announced that he has morphed from lame duck into troll, with Alaska as his first target. My experience with trolls is that he wants the appropriate thundering response from Alaskans and its elected leadership, while he moves on to the next target.

When I told the folks at the Northern Right I was heading to D.C. for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), they said I would be welcome to submit a piece reflecting on the conference.

Religious liberty groups are already raising concerns about the impact that the proposed law would have on faith-based institutions and nonprofits in Anchorage.

An initiative to grant new legal recognition to people in Anchorage who identify themselves as gay or transgender will appear on the April 3 ballot.

On Dec. 14, Anchorage City Clerk Barbara Gruenstein affirmed that enough signatures have been gathered to place the following question to voters:
