Breathless reporting a couple weeks ago described 2014 as the hottest year on record. Follow-up stories blamed it all on manmade carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and called for instant / immediate government action to solve the problem.

As it turns out, the war on carbon dioxide by the Obama regime, democrats and the leftists that make up the environmental community is also a war on the global poor. And a large carbon footprint, high carbon dioxide emissions individual and national lifestyle end up becoming perhaps the best foreign aid program we Americans have ever put into place.

With great fanfare, the Obama regime released their third National Climate Assessment; this one comes in at a whopping 170 meg PDF and over 840 pages long. It is a faith-based work of science fiction that will be used to justify an endless series of large and small intrusions into our daily lives, pocketbooks, jobs and liberty for the next three years.

The feds forcast a mild, warm winter for the Lower 48 states.  We got one of the harshest and coldest in decades.  If they can't predict 3 months in advance, why believe them on predictions 50 years out?

Recently, US Fish and Wildlife Service (USF&WS) Regional Director for Alaska, Geoffrey Haskett wrote a stirring defense of listing polar bears as an endangered species. Normally, this sort of defense is supposed to be factual in nature. This one would make a great fantasy short story. Here’s why.
